Every person engaged or intending to engage in any calling, business, occupation or profession, in whole or in part, within the limits of the Town of Heath Springs, South Carolina is required to pay an annual license tax for the privilege of doing business and obtain a business license. The license tax is based upon a business' prior year's gross income for the previous year (Jan - Dec) within the Town limits. A new business license tax is calculated on projected revenue for the first year of operation. All businesses are subject to audit and verification of gross receipts by examination of income tax returns and documents filed with state and federal government agencies. The license tax is due by April 30, 2024 to the Town of Heath Springs for a period to cover the license year of May 1 -April 30. License renewals not received by this date will be subject to a five percent (5%) penalty until paid. Applications are available at the Ann S.
